The Boulder Marathon, postponed from this weekend because of Boulder Reservoir's closure for Fourmile Fire operations, will take place two weeks later on Oct. 3.

The reservoir, which is being used as a staging area for firefighters, is expected to be reopen to the public on Monday morning. The reservoir will remain closed through the weekend to give time for firefighting crews to demobilize and for city staff to conduct a thorough assessment of the facility.

Boulder Marathon organizers said the only change to the event will be the date. Packet pick up is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 at the Twenty Ninth Street mall in Boulder.
